Reverse Backup

Hello,

I have a large amount of data that has been backed up to a file share.  Now I would like others to use that file share, so I would need to stop my backups. However, that means there is no redundant copy.  I am thinking of reversing my backup to copy from the file share to my machine now.
Can I create a new backup job that is simply the reverse of the previous job without it trying to copy all of the data over again?  Will it scan and determine that all of the data is there?  I just want to ask before I try this.

Yup, that should work.

When creating a job, you can also first set scheduling to Manual, configure the rest and then, after job's created, use "Simulate" from the job's right-click menu to see what will be done.
