Timestamps Updating on seeded robocopy copy

Hi!

I have a backup that was initially synced with robocopy and I want to use Bvckup to sync the delta.

On the first run it is updating all timestamps on all files. Wouldn't be a problem but it is about 20 TB and it takes days.

The Timestamp looks the same except the last value.
What is it and is there a setting that can prevent this?

Many thanks and have a nice day,

Michael

This is a hash of the security information on a file, made out of a subset of DACL, Owner, Group and SACL that is selected for copying in the job settings. The comparison doesn't look at the auto-inherited attributes, just those set on the file/folder directly. In your case this information is different.

Sorry, my collegue also asked you this question via Email. I didn't know about.

Your answer was:

"This is a hash of the security information on the file (DACL, Owner, Group, SACL – whatever combo that is selected for copying over).

It’s calculated from the text representation of the attributes with auto-inheritance parts disabled. More specifically, the sec info is converted to its SDDL representation, which is hashed with MD5 and then first 8 bytes of the hash are XOR’ed with the last 8 bytes of the same."

Aye. It did sound like you were looking at the same log :)
