Clarification of "Destination As Source" & "Destination Scan Filter"

Hi Alex,

Just for clarity, is

Destination As Source (

indepenedent of

Destination Scan Filter (

I use the former as you say:

This option is particularly useful when backing up selected items from the source into a *pre-populated* destination. That is, when the source filters are set to "start with a blank list" with just some items included.

Does it need the latter in order for it to function?

The "as source" setting is checked first. If it's not set, then destination filters are initialized as configured. They default to "include all", but they can be changed either by direct INI editing or via the UI (if the "edit_dst_filters" override is in place).

Ah, I think I have it.

For "safety", I can remove the "edit_dst_filters 1" setting as I use the "as source" feature.

Just tidying up my backup jobs. :)
