How to add share access rights to ".\Bvckup 2 Service" user?

I followed instructions on https://bvckup2.com/support/forum/topic/799 to switch from Desktop mode to Service mode and it automatically created a service running under ".\Bvckup 2 Service" instead of "Local System".

I can't seem to login into this account from Windows, nor do I know the generated password. How exactly do I add and store the necessary network credentials to give this account access rights to my backup shares?

You can configure share access credentials using https://bvckup2.com/support/forum/topic/413.

Won't the password be stored in Bvckup initial configuration file that way?

It will be indeed.

The second option is to create a matching user account on the remote side, in which case you'll need to reset service account's password on your main machine and change it in the service's entry (the LogOn tab) to match.

You can also have the service run under LocalSystem account - there is an option for that behind More link in the Switch Mode dialog.

Ok, thank you very much.
